ckck:

This is a Beaulieu 4008 ZM 8mm film camera. I just saw someone selling one of these at an online auction, and I’m tempted to bid on it because how is this not the coolest film camera you’ve ever seen? Even if I’d never be able to shoot any 8mm film, it’s got to be handy to own it in case of alien invasion. You just know there’s gotta be a ray-gun setting on there somewhere.

Lost Spring
Photo Essay 009: Lost Spring by Bessie Secorhttp://thephotographicjournal.com/essays/lost-spring/
We’re very proud to publish Photo Essay 009: Lost Spring by Bessie Secor. The essay explores a duality, with Bessie capturing a fashion shoot, and concurrent black and white film details shot by collaborator Nicola Ciscato.

The relentless passing of the seasons fascinates and affects me deeply.
When the harsh winter takes over, my soul feels lost. Only those little beautiful things, that stay in the corners and cracks, bring me hope of the recurring spring…
Even when your path is cold, desolate and hostile, this hope pulls you forward into the journey of life.

Such lovely tones…

Introducing #EverydayUniform.

In six days, we’re introducing three brand-new silk styles for women and thirteen new patterns for men’s Slim Fit shirts. It’s a big one. Both collections stem from the idea of an everyday uniform. We believe everyone has one.

Share your #EverydayUniform on Instagram by staging a creative self-portrait and tag us. We’ll contact 20 people with the best portraits and let them choose a shirt or silk blouse from the new collections before the launch.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Stage a creative self-portrait wearing your #EverydayUniform.
  2. Write a story of how it relates to your day-to-day and throw in @everlane with the hashtag #EverydayUniform.
  3. Share it on Instagram.

Some tips to get you started:

  • Look for natural, soft light. Rooms with big windows work well.
  • Get crafty with the surroundings and composition to let your personality come through.
  • You don’t have to be holding the phone to take the portrait. Ask a friend to take the final photo once you’ve set up. You can also try using a mobile tripod with a timer.

Featured here we have @kessara, @kimathomas, @andrewjasonleung, @zobolondon, @danrubin and @dew.

Excited to be featured in this Everlane campaign — photo by zobolondon
